Forty years after Jannie first sang a Dutch-language song locally, De Wals van de Liefde by Toon Hermans is the title track of his new programme, featuring personal favourites from the Dutch-language cabaret that have profoundly influenced his music and career. Music lovers now have the opportunity to hear all of Jannie’s “toppers,” as the Dutch would say, in one programme. The highly musical couple Marcel and Deryn Dednam accompany him on piano and alto saxophone.
