Award-winning organist Winand Grundling improvises on the organ based on voice artist Johann Nel’s narration of the breaking news at the time about specific events such as the Hindenburg disaster, the atomic bombing of Hiroshima, the moon landing, Nelson Mandela’s release, the Springboks’ first World Cup victory, Princess Diana’s death, 9/11, and the Covid-19 pandemic.
